Bad customers can cost you money easily. Anyone who has had a difficult customer to deal with knows this. You can spend countless hours working with a customer and you lose money out of it. This is why it’s so important to pre-qualify your customers. Business Beware is also a tool to help you do just that and at least have a heads up about certain problem customers in your area.

We had a great show this past Saturday and our theme this month is “Building a Better Business.” We had Tim from ConstructionDeal.com talk with us about their site and how they can help contractors with new leads and projects which is huge with the way our economy is at the moment. We also had a caller tell us that he fired his first customer the other day after listening to our show a few weeks ago. Now how awesome is that? We always upload our shows via BlogTalkRadio in case you miss them or you can download them on our radio show website.

Okay ConstructionDeal.com is already an awesome website for those of you who don’t know it and now they are even cooler in our book with a new contest they have going on.

A little about ConstructionDeal.com:

ConstructionDeal.com has been helping homeowners and business owners complete their building, renovation, installation and repair work since 2004. They have a nationwide network of quality contractors and service professionals waiting to provide quotes on these projects. Property owners submit residential or commercial requests at no cost and are matched to 4 local experts, usually within 24 hours. Construction Deal.com is the fastest growing and one of the largest contractor referral services in the industry.

They announced a nationwide Twitter Tax Refund contest. Beginning on March 29th, Twitter users can follow ConstructionDeal.com and tweet daily to potentially earn up to $625. The Twitter contest hosted at ”http://constructiondeal.com/win” is meant to highlight how homeowners can use their tax refunds to make needed home improvements.

“We wanted to remind people their tax refund could best be used to add equity to their biggest investment – their home,” said Aaron Rose, V.P. of marketing for ConstructionDeal.com. “This will be the first live national tax feed where people can watch what the nation’s 2009 tax outcomes are,” said Rose.

“All people need to do is follow our Twitter account (@FindaContractor) and Tweet the amount they’ll owe on their taxes or the amount they’ll be getting back. They’ll have a chance to win $25 every day they tweet. The more daily tweets posted, the more money they can win,” said Rose. The Twitter contest, Rose added, is also a great way to demonstrate to our contractor members how effective social media marketing can be to develop business.

ConstructionDeal.com suggests that homeowners take advantage of any refund they receive by renovating, repairing, or adding on to their house to improve their equity and quality of home life. “Over the past few years, during the weak economy, many put off repair and remodeling needs and their home values suffered. A refund check can get homeowners started on, or maybe pay for, one of those projects,” said Mr. Rose. He also added that the Twitter contest winnings could help out as well. The Twitter contest from March 29th through April 22nd of this year is open to all U.S. residents.

So don’t miss out on this great contest and a chance to win some money!

We had a great radio show this past Saturday (3/27). We talked about dealing with customers, where businesses can get leads for work, why the customer is not always right and why Business Beware is needed for businesses. We had special guests: Aaron Rose with ConstructionDeal.com, Cd Vann with Sohobiztube.com and Valarie Moody with Fodeo.net

Maybe you do, but we don’t. And not saying they are always wrong just simply that no single person is ever always right. There are two sides to every story and that is why BusinessBeware.Biz is here for you the business owner.

We have a great show coming up this Saturday 3/27. We will be talking with one of our awesome new partners, ConstructionDeal.com and what their site is all about. They are a great site for any and all contractors, so make sure to check them out and Aaron Rose will be on the show Saturday. Cd Vann with Sohobiztube.com will also be a guest talking with us about her site she has (which is awesome and another partner of ours). She also sat on the board of the Better Business Bureau and she believes that our site is something that has been needed for businesses for quite a while now. Can’t wait to talk about that. We also will have a guest who believes that the customer is right no matter what, Valarie Moody with Fodeo.net So we are anxious to talk with her about that.

Listen in this Saturday from 2-3pm (est). You can listen live at WSRQradio.com or if you miss it you can always listen to it on our website and our official radio show site.
